Day 1: Arrival in Lilongwe

• Airport pickup and transfer to hotel

• Welcome briefing with your guide

• Overnight in Lilongwe

Day 2: Travel to Majete Wildlife Reserve

• Drive south to Majete (approx. 5–6 hrs)

• Afternoon relaxation at lodge overlooking the Shire River

• Sunset game drive

• Overnight in Majete

Day 3: Full Day in Majete – Big Five Safari

• Morning and afternoon game drives

• Optional boat safari on the Shire River

• Spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, and more

• Overnight in Majete

Day 4: Travel to Mulanje Mountain Base

• Scenic drive to Mulanje (approx. 4–5 hrs)

• Evening walk around the base villages

• Overnight in a mountain lodge

Day 5: Mulanje Mountain Hike

• Guided hike to waterfalls and mountain viewpoints

• Picnic lunch on the trail

• Learn about local myths and legends of “Island in the Sky”

Day 6: Thyolo Tea Estates

• Visit historic tea estates in Thyolo

• Tea tasting session and plantation walk

Day 7: Zomba Plateau Exploration

• Drive to Zomba Plateau (approx. 2 hrs)

• Visit waterfalls, forest trails, and scenic viewpoints

• Birdwatching and nature photography opportunities

• Overnight in Zomba

Day 8: Travel to Liwonde National Park

• Journey to Liwonde (approx. 3 hrs)

• Afternoon boat safari on the Shire River

• Spot elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife

Day 9: Morning Safari & Transfer to Cape Maclear

• Early morning game drive

• Depart for Cape Maclear (approx. 3–4 hrs)
